When are the Awards?
The Wedding Photography Awards (UKWPA) takes place throughout the year, with awards held every quarter to celebrate outstanding talent in the industry. The award seasons are scheduled as follows:
January Round: Submissions go live in December and close on the last day of that month. Results are emailed and published on the website on the first of February.
April Round: Submissions open in March, close at the end of the month, and results are announced on the first of May.
July Round: Submissions begin in June, close on the last day of July, and results are revealed on the first of August.
October Round: Submissions kick off in September, close at the end of October, and results are announced on the first of November.

In a special edition for this year only, the Wedding Photography Awards (UKWPA) will hold competitions starting from August 2023 and continuing each month thereafter. This unique opportunity allows photographers to participate and showcase their talent on a monthly basis throughout the year. Who are the judges the photos?
Rule One
To ensure impartiality, all entries in the Wedding Photography Awards (UKWPA) are assessed anonymously. Photographer names remain hidden, and the judges independently evaluate the photos without any discussions among themselves. This fair and objective process guarantees that each submission is judged solely on its merits and artistic quality.
Rule Two
When two or three judges express their favor for a specific photo, it is granted an award. This recognition signifies the consensus reached by the judges, highlighting the exceptional qualities and merits of the chosen image.
Rule Three
To maintain a fair and unbiased judging process, each judge in the Wedding Photography Awards (UKWPA) is unable to see which photos have received votes from other judges. This ensures that each judge independently evaluates and assesses the submissions without any influence or knowledge of other judges' decisions.

Each round of the competition is evaluated by different photographers, guaranteeing that your work is assessed by a fresh set of eyes and expertise.
